If you attended a NDUS Institution before enrolling at LWT and took a dual-credit course while in High School this scholarship may be for you!
This scholarship rewards college students for taking dual-credit coursework as a high school student. To qualify, students must meet the eligibility criteria, complete an application with the ND University System (NDUS), and provide all supporting documentation.
To qualify for the scholarship, students must:
- Have graduated from a high school in this state, or a high school in a bordering state covered under state law (N.D.C.C. 15.1-29), or have graduated from a nonpublic high school in a bordering state while residing with a custodial parent in this state, or have completed a program of home education under N.D.C.C. 15.1-23, and
- Have completed at least one dual-credit course provided by a NDUS institution while enrolled in high school or a program of home education, and
- Be currently enrolled at an institution of higher education in ND, and
- Have completed at least one semester, quarter or term at an institution of higher education in the state.

STEP 1
(1) NDUS USER ID – Do you know your NDUS User ID? All students who took a dual-credit course while in high school from a NDUS institution have a NDUS User ID. This is NOT the same as your K-12 ID.
- YES, I know my NDUS User ID. Go to question (2) NDUS Password.
- NO, I do NOT know my NDUS User ID. Go to the NDUS log-in page, select “Forgot my User ID”, and then follow the instructions. Once you have retrieved your NDUS User ID, return to this page.
- If you are having trouble navigating this step, you can review this troubleshooting information.
- Helpful hint: Regardless of which college you are attending your NDUS USER ID will always end in “@ndus.edu.”
(2) NDUS PASSWORD – Do you know your NDUS Password? This is NOT the same as your K-12 Password.
- YES, I know my NDUS Password. Go to Step 2.
- NO, I do NOT know my NDUS Password. Go to the NDUS log-in page, select “Forgot my Password”, and then follow the instructions. You can select to have the password access code emailed or texted to you. Once you have retrieved your NDUS Password, return to this page.

STEP 2
I know my NDUS User ID and NDUS Password and I am ready to apply for the ND Dual-Credit Tuition Scholarship.
APPLY – Prior to logging into the application, you must have your NDUS USER ID & NDUS Password. If you do not know this information, go back to Step 1 above.
- Once you know your NDUS User ID and NDUS Password, review in the information below and then complete the Dual-Credit Tuition Scholarship Application.
- Applicants will be required to attach supporting documentation at the time of application.
- Instructions on how to obtain this documentation is also listed on the first page of the application.
- Supporting documents include:
- A copy of the student’s final high school or home school transcript listing the dual-credit course(s) completed, and a graduation date; and
- If your high school has PowerSchool, your final transcript should populate automatically.
- A copy of the charges incurred for the dual-credit course(s) completed; and
- How to access ITEMIZED Class Statement for your dual credit charges
- After you click Printer Friendly Page, right click and select Print. The destination should either be Save as PDF or Microsoft Print to PDF. These options will allow you to save it to your desktop as a PDF.
- Combine multiple PDF files in to ONE file
- DO NOT upload a transcript, 1098-T, or account summary as dual credit charges.
- A current college transcript (unofficial is adequate), showing completion of at least one semester, quarter or term of post-secondary enrollment.
- A copy of the student’s final high school or home school transcript listing the dual-credit course(s) completed, and a graduation date; and
The NDUS will award the Dual-Credit Tuition Scholarship throughout the academic year. Scholarship award amounts will not exceed $750. The maximum payment will be no more than 50% of the cost of the dual-credit course(s), and will be limited to the cost of tuition and fees for the semester, quarter or term the scholarship applies. This scholarship may be used for post-secondary enrollment at any ND state public, private, tribal or proprietary institution. Payments will generally be issued to the student’s institution the following semester, quarter, or term enrolled after application.
