WEMCO and the American Welding Society (AWS) announced its Image of Welding Awards winners who were honored in an award ceremony in Atlanta, GA on November 12, 2014. The winners are listed in their respective categories as follows:
Educational Facility – Lynnes Welding Training, Inc. – Fargo, ND
“Lynnes Welding Training was the vision of Dave Lynnes, owner and CEO of the welding school. Lynnes has more than 25 years of experience and a passion for the welding industry, having served in the trenches as a pipe welder and achieved AWS and CWB certification as a welding inspector and an AWS certification as a pipe welder. Since Lynnes Welding Training opened its doors in 2006, the school has sought to provide its students with the best possible welding instruction. Mr. Lynnes and his staff have formed an advisory committee with individuals whose background and diverse experiences best benefit the curriculum of the school and the recruitment of students into the school and the welding field. The advisory committee is composed with a balance of industry leaders, educators and staff. Lynnes Welding Training has also made it a priority to educate post-secondary school administrators, teachers, guidance counselors, and others in key positions to provide career advice to students of all ages. Staff from the school speaks to local schools and career fairs, and makes presentations at career and technical professional development conferences. They’ve also collaborated with the North Dakota Boy Scouts to help host Welding Merit Badge clinics.”

Lynnes Welding Training, Inc. is proud to announce that the Bismarck school is now an accredited branch of the Fargo LWT offering the same accredited programs (120 hour GMAW, 120 hour SMAW, 120 hour GTAW, 200 Pipe and 480 hour Combination Welder I) as of May 12th, 2014. Although we now hold this new title in Bismarck, our teaching standards have and always will be the same as our Fargo school.
According to the U.S. Department of Education, “[t]he goal of accreditation is to ensure that education provided by institutions of higher educa-tion meets acceptable levels of quality.”
