Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW-TIG) TIG Welding

Course Description:

The Gas Tungsten Arc Welding course is designed to teach welders about arc welding safety and the gas tungsten arc welding process in this one week course. Thirty (30) hours of booth instruction and ten (10) hours of lecture and practice make up this course.

Course Contents:
  • Learn fundamentals of GTAW (TIG).
  • Welding procedures are taught on aluminum, mild steel and stainless steel.
  • Welding positions on edge, corner, lap and fillet welds
  • Welding is limited to 11 gauge materials which does not include thick plate, pipe or other irregular shapes.
Course Objective:

Each student will have an understanding on how the GTAW process works and be able to perform a fillet weld in all positions. 8 student maximum per class and student will receive a Certificate upon successful completion.
