ADVANCED GAS METAL ARC WELDING Skills Course

Course Description: Students can take advantage of this advanced course and enhance their GMAW skills. The Advanced Gas Metal Arc Welding course is designed to teach welders advanced techniques about arc welding safety and the gas metal arc welding process (GMAW-MIG).

Upon successful completion of the course the student will be:

• Prepared for passing welding tests in the GMAW process
• Diversified in the GMAW welding process
• Able to understand the different wires and shielding gasses
• Able to perform a fillet and groove weld in most positions
• Able to read blueprints and understand different welding symbols

Prerequisite: Must have completed 80 hour MIG class or pass pretest before taking class.
